GARLIC BUTTER LOBSTER AND SCALLOPS RECIPE

This indulgent seafood dish features tender lobster tails and succulent scallops, perfectly seared and bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce. It’s a luxurious meal that’s surprisingly easy to make and is sure to impress for any special occasion or seafood dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lobster tails (about 4-6 oz each)
  • 8-10 large sea scallops
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:
    • Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of the lobster shell down to the tail. Gently pull the meat out of the shell, keeping it attached at the tail end, and rest the meat on top of the shell for presentation.
    • Season the lobster meat with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Scallops:
    • Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
    • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
    • Once the oil is hot, sear the scallops for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque in the center. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the Lobster Tails:
    • In the same skillet, add the lobster tails shell side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until the shell turns bright red and the meat is opaque.
    • Flip the lobster tails and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, until fully cooked.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • Reduce the heat to medium-low, and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
    • Add the lemon juice and stir to combine.
  5. Combine Everything:
    • Return the scallops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter over the seafood to coat everything evenly.
    • Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a fresh pop of flavor.

Enjoy this garlic butter lobster and scallops with a side of crusty bread or a light salad!
