White Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe

A decadent twist on a classic!

Ingredients:

  • Wet Ingredients:
    • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dry Ingredients:
    • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Additional:
    • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in the mashed bananas.  
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.  
  7. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
