Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened (optional for extra richness)
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries: Hull and slice the strawberries. You can blend them slightly if you prefer a smoother texture, or leave them chopped for a chunkier cream.
- Make the whipped cream: In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. If you prefer a richer cream, you can add the softened cream cheese during this step and beat until smooth.
- Add vanilla: Stir in the vanilla extract into the whipped cream mixture.
- Combine the strawberries and cream: Gently fold the sliced strawberries into the whipped cream mixture. If you’d like a marbled effect, only mix partially, leaving streaks of strawberry through the cream.
- Chill (optional): For the best texture and flavor, chill the strawberry cream in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
- Serve: Serve the strawberry cream as a topping for cakes, pies, or as a dessert on its own. Enjoy!
