Stir-Fried Bok Choy with Ground Meat Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bunch bok choy, chopped (separate stems and leaves)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger; stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground meat. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and pepper.
  5. Add bok choy stems first and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Add bok choy leaves and cook until wilted, about 1–2 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with green onions if using. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot over steamed rice.
