Snowball Cookies

Delicate, buttery, and dusted with powdered sugar, these Snowball Cookies are a classic holiday treat. With a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a light, nutty flavor, they’re perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or gifting to loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined. Fold in the finely chopped nuts.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  6. While the cookies are still warm, roll them in powdered sugar to coat. Let the cookies cool completely and roll them in powdered sugar once more for an extra dusting.
  7. Store in an airtight container and enjoy!
