Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (about 4-5 medium) potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix (or any dry onion soup mix)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into bite-sized chunks.
  2. Mix Ingredients:
    In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, olive oil (or melted butter), dry onion soup mix, and garlic powder if using. Toss until the potatoes are well coated.
  3. Load the Slow Cooker:
    Transfer the coated potatoes into the slow cooker and spread them out evenly.
  4. Cook:
    Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 2.5–3 hours, until the potatoes are tender and flavorful.
  5. Serve:
    Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot as a side dish.
