Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk or water (adjust for desired consistency)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Toppings: Sliced bananas, nuts, chia seeds, or berries

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the milk or water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the oats, mashed banana, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and honey/maple syrup if desired.
  5. Transfer to a bowl and top with extra banana slices, nuts, or any toppings of your choice.
