The combination of castor oil and baking soda is a simple DIY mixture often used in skincare routines for gentle exfoliation and deep cleansing support.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon castor oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3–4 drops clove oil (optional, for freshness and antibacterial feel)
  • 1 teaspoon baby oil (optional, for extra softness and smoother texture)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Take a clean small bowl.
  2. Add castor oil and baking soda.
  3. Mix well until it forms a smooth paste.
  4. Add clove oil and baby oil if using, then mix again.
  5. Apply a thin layer on the skin (face or targeted area).
  6. Massage gently in circular motion for 1–2 minutes.
  7. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.

TIPS

  • Always do a patch test before applying to the face.
  • Use only 1–2 times per week to avoid over-drying.
  • Do not apply near eyes or broken skin.
  • Follow with a light moisturizer after use.
  • If skin feels sensitive, reduce baking soda amount or skip it.
