Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) whole milk
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 cup mixed fresh fruit (such as mango, strawberries, kiwi, or bananas), chopped
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Milk Base:
In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, cornstarch, sweetener (honey or maple syrup), vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt. - Cook the Mixture:
Place the pan over medium heat and stir constantly until the mixture thickens. This will take about 3–5 minutes. It should resemble a smooth, pudding-like texture. - Assemble the Dessert:
Spoon the warm milk mixture into small bowls or glasses. Let it cool for a few minutes. - Add the Fruit:
Top with the chopped fresh fruit. You can gently press some of the fruit into the pudding or leave it as a topping. - Chill and Serve (Optional):
For a firmer texture, chill the dessert in the fridge for 30–60 minutes. Otherwise, enjoy it warm or at room temperature.
