Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon dried bilberry leaves (or fresh if available)
- 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder or 1 small cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon dried ginger or a small piece of fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon green tea leaves (or 1 green tea bag)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the bilberry leaves, fenugreek seeds, cinnamon, turmeric, and ginger.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes to extract the beneficial compounds.
- Turn off the heat and add the green tea leaves. Let it steep for another 3–5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup, removing all solids.
- Add honey and lemon juice if desired for taste.
- Enjoy warm, preferably in the morning or after meals for best benefits.
