Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1-inch fresh ginger root (sliced or grated)
- Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the sliced or grated ginger to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the ginger water cool slightly.
- Strain the liquid to remove the ginger pieces.
- Add lemon juice and honey if desired.
- Drink warm or chilled for best results.
For optimal benefits, drink 1–2 cups daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.
