DESCRIPTION
Garlic is traditionally used for its natural antifungal and antibacterial properties. This home remedy is often used to help improve the appearance of nails affected by fungus and support healthier nail growth over time. Results vary from person to person, and consistent use is important.
INGREDIENT
- 3 to 5 fresh garlic cloves
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil (optional, for dilution)
- Warm water (for cleaning nails)
INSTRUCTION
- Crush or finely grind the garlic cloves to release the juice.
- Mix the crushed garlic with olive oil or coconut oil (to reduce irritation).
- Clean and dry the affected nail thoroughly.
- Apply the garlic mixture directly onto the nail and surrounding skin.
- Leave it on for 20–30 minutes.
- Rinse with warm water and dry completely.
- Repeat once daily for best results.
TIPS
- Always keep nails clean and dry before applying.
- Do a small skin test first to avoid irritation.
- Do not leave raw garlic on skin for too long (it may cause burning).
- Trim nails regularly to help treatment reach deeper areas.
- Be consistent for several weeks, as nail fungus improves slowly.
- If the condition worsens or spreads, consider medical treatment.
