This recipe creates a creamy, no-churn ice cream using just four basic ingredients. It’s incredibly easy and requires no special equipment beyond a hand mixer or stand mixer and a freezer-safe container.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (480ml) Heavy Cream (cold)
- 1 (14 ounce) can Sweetened Condensed Milk (397g)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt (optional, but enhances flavor)
Instructions:
- Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, pour the cold heavy cream. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer with a whisk attachment, whip the cream on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. This means the cream holds its shape when the beaters are lifted.
- Combine Ingredients: Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream. Be careful not to overmix, as this can deflate the cream. Add the vanilla extract and the pinch of salt (if using). Gently fold these in until just combined.
- Freeze: Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container (a loaf pan or airtight container works well). Cover it tightly with plastic wrap or a lid.
- Chill: Freeze for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until completely firm.
- Serve: Scoop and enjoy your homemade ice cream! You can let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before serving.
Optional Additions:
- For chocolate ice cream, add 1/2 cup cocoa powder along with the condensed milk.
- For fruit flavors, fold in mashed or pureed fruit after combining the condensed milk.
- Add chocolate chips, nuts, or cookie pieces for extra texture.
Enjoy your delicious, easy ice cream!
