INGREDIENTS
- 3 overripe bananas (the riper, the better for sweetness)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (prevents browning)
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional, for flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat oven or dehydrator to 175°F (80°C) or set dehydrator to fruit leather setting.
- Peel and mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth. Stir in lemon juice, honey (if using), and cinnamon.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Spread the banana mixture thinly and evenly—about ¼ inch thick.
- Bake or dehydrate for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until it’s no longer sticky and can be peeled off easily.
- Cool completely, then cut into strips or small pieces. Roll them up or store in an airtight container.
Tip: For chewy texture, don’t overbake. These banana candies are perfect for lunchboxes, healthy snacks, or even dessert!
