INGREDIENT
- 4 cups frozen green peas (thawed)
- 1 cup diced cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped red onion or red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped celery (optional for crunch)
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup bacon (crispy, crumbled – optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
INSTRUCTION
- Thaw the green peas completely and drain excess water.
- In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth.
- Add peas, cheddar cheese, onion, celery, and bacon.
- Gently toss everything until evenly coated.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
TIPS
- Always use frozen peas, not canned, for best texture.
- Chill well before serving for better flavor.
- Add a little sugar or honey if you like a sweeter taste.
- For extra crunch, add chopped pickles or nuts.
- Serve cold with grilled meat or sandwiches.
