Ingredients
- 1 large onion
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup water
- 1 lemon (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and finely chop the onion.
- In a pot, bring the water to a boil and add the chopped onion.
- Let it simmer for about 5–10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the liquid into a cup and stir in the honey. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired.
- Drink warm, 2–3 times a day for up to three days to help soothe coughing and clear your lungs.
