Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or your favorite kind)
- 2 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or your choice)
- 1–2 tablespoons butter (softened)
Instructions
- Butter the Bread: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet. Add the cheese slices on top. Place the second slice of bread on top, butter side up.
- Grill the Sandwich: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 2–4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 2–4 minutes.
- Serve: Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet. Slice in half and serve warm.
