Ingredients
- 1 lb imitation crab meat (or real crab if preferred), shredded or chopped
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley, chopped (optional)
- Lettuce leaves or crackers, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, celery, and red onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard (if using), lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning.
- Pour the dressing over the crab mixture and gently fold until evenly coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in fresh herbs if using.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve chilled over lettuce leaves, in a sandwich, or with crackers.
