Ingredients

  • 1 lb imitation crab meat (or real crab if preferred), shredded or chopped
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, celery, and red onion.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard (if using), lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Pour the dressing over the crab mixture and gently fold until evenly coated.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in fresh herbs if using.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
