For the Topping:

- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
- Prepare the Topping: In another bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Assemble the Crisp: Transfer the apple mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
