Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 1 large chicken breast, cooked and shredded (or use pre-cooked chicken)
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Sandwich:
- 4 slices of bread (sourdough, Italian, or your favorite type)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Filling:
- In a skillet, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
- Add the shredded chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and heat through. Set aside.
- Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the buttered side down on a clean surface.
