Ingredients
- 3 ½ cups (450g) all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups (350ml) warm water
- 1 packet (7g) instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour and salt, then mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a Dutch oven, place it inside to heat.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
- Place the dough in a greased Dutch oven or on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
