Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (240ml) warm water
- 1½ tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil (plus more for cooking)

- Activate Yeast
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–7 minutes until frothy. - Make Dough
Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a sticky dough forms. Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size. - Shape Bread
Once risen, punch down the dough. Divide into 4–6 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a flat round disk about ½ inch thick. - Cook on Stovetop
Heat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the pan. Place one dough disk in the pan and cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with remaining dough. - Serve Warm
Brush with melted butter or olive oil, sprinkle with herbs or garlic if desired. Enjoy warm with your favorite spreads or as sandwich bread!
