Watermelon Tequila Twirl Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 small seedless watermelon
  • 1/4 cup silver tequila
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Coarse sea salt (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Toothpicks or cocktail skewers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Watermelon:
Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes or use a melon baller to create spheres. Place the pieces in a shallow dish.
  2. Make the Marinade:
In a small bowl, whisk together tequila, lime juice, honey (if using), and lime zest.
  3. Marinate:
Pour the tequila-lime mixture over the watermelon pieces. Gently toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to let the flavors infuse. Do not soak too long to avoid sogginess.
  4. Assemble the Bites:
Drain the excess marinade. Thread each watermelon piece onto a toothpick or cocktail skewer. Garnish with a mint leaf.
  5. Serve:
Arrange on a serving platter. Sprinkle lightly with coarse sea salt for an extra pop of flavor.

Tip: Serve chilled for best results — perfect for summer parties or brunches!

Let me know if you’d like a mocktail (non-alcoholic) version too!
