Ingredients
- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 1/4 cup silver tequila
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional)
- Zest of 1 lime
- Coarse sea salt (for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
- Toothpicks or cocktail skewers
Instructions
- Prepare the Watermelon:
Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes or use a melon baller to create spheres. Place the pieces in a shallow dish. - Make the Marinade:
In a small bowl, whisk together tequila, lime juice, honey (if using), and lime zest. - Marinate:
Pour the tequila-lime mixture over the watermelon pieces. Gently toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to let the flavors infuse. Do not soak too long to avoid sogginess. - Assemble the Bites:
Drain the excess marinade. Thread each watermelon piece onto a toothpick or cocktail skewer. Garnish with a mint leaf. - Serve:
Arrange on a serving platter. Sprinkle lightly with coarse sea salt for an extra pop of flavor.
Tip: Serve chilled for best results — perfect for summer parties or brunches!
