Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or a towel.
- Let dough rest at room temperature for 12–18 hours (it will become bubbly and doubled).
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven (with lid) inside to heat for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, transfer dough onto a floured surface. Shape gently into a ball.
- Place dough on parchment paper. Carefully put it inside the hot Dutch oven. Cover with lid.
- Bake 30 minutes covered, then remove lid and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and crusty.
- Cool on a rack before slicing.
