Ingredients
For the Pizza Stack:
- 2 large prepared pizza crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (optional, for drizzle)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Dill pickle slices
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- Shredded iceberg lettuce
- Cooked bacon slices (optional, but recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onions together. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
- Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, mix ketchup and mustard. Spread a thin layer over both pizza crusts as the base sauce.
- Assemble First Layer: On the first crust, add half of the cooked beef mixture, sprinkle with half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and add a few pickle slices. Bake in the oven for about 6–8 minutes, until cheese is melted.
- Stack It Up: Once the first layer is ready, carefully place the second crust on top. Spread the rest of the beef mixture, remaining cheese, and a few more pickles. Bake again for another 6–8 minutes until everything is hot and bubbly.
- Top It Off: Remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Then top with fresh tomato slices, shredded lettuce, bacon (if using), and a drizzle of mayo or extra burger sauce.
- Slice & Serve: Slice like a pizza and serve warm!
