Ultimate Double Cheeseburger Pizza Stack

Ingredients

For the Pizza Stack:

  • 2 large prepared pizza crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (optional, for drizzle)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Dill pickle slices
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Cooked bacon slices (optional, but recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onions together. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, mix ketchup and mustard. Spread a thin layer over both pizza crusts as the base sauce.
  4. Assemble First Layer: On the first crust, add half of the cooked beef mixture, sprinkle with half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and add a few pickle slices. Bake in the oven for about 6–8 minutes, until cheese is melted.
  5. Stack It Up: Once the first layer is ready, carefully place the second crust on top. Spread the rest of the beef mixture, remaining cheese, and a few more pickles. Bake again for another 6–8 minutes until everything is hot and bubbly.
  6. Top It Off: Remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Then top with fresh tomato slices, shredded lettuce, bacon (if using), and a drizzle of mayo or extra burger sauce.
  7. Slice & Serve: Slice like a pizza and serve warm!
