Tuna Salad recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 (5 oz) cans of tuna in water, drained
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional for tang)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill pickle or sweet relish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or chives
  • Optional: squeeze of lemon juice for brightness

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add the drained tuna. Use a fork to flake it into smaller pieces.
  2. Stir in mayonnaise and mustard (if using) until well combined.
  3. Mix in chopped red onion, celery, and pickle or relish.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add optional lemon juice and herbs for added flavor.
  6. Chill for at least 15–30 minutes to let the flavors meld (optional but recommended).
  7. Serve over lettuce, in a sandwich, or with crackers.
