Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or olive oil)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly coat each piece in flour and shake off excess.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to low. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Stir in honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
- Thicken (optional): Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce if you want it thicker. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Glaze the Chicken: Return chicken to the pan and coat with the honey garlic sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes, flipping once to fully glaze.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with rice or steamed veggies for a full meal.
