Truly tasty cookie recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or your favorite add-ins)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls (about 1.5 tbsp each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Optional: Sprinkle with flaky sea salt right after baking for a gourmet twist!
