Ingredients
- 200g bean sprouts, blanched
- 100g long beans, cut into small pieces and blanched
- 100g cabbage, shredded and blanched
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 50g basil leaves
- 50g grated coconut (lightly toasted)
- 1 small kaffir lime, juiced
Seasoning Paste:
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 shallots
- 1 small red chili (optional, for spice)
- 1 tsp shrimp paste (terasi), toasted
- 1 tsp palm sugar
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Vegetables – Blanch the bean sprouts, long beans, and cabbage in boiling water for 1–2 minutes, then drain and let them cool.
- Make the Seasoning Paste – Grind garlic, shallots, chili, shrimp paste, palm sugar, and salt into a smooth paste.
- Mix Everything Together – In a large bowl, combine the blanched vegetables, cucumber, basil leaves, and grated coconut.
- Season – Add the seasoning paste and mix well until all ingredients are coated evenly.
- Serve – Drizzle with kaffir lime juice and enjoy fresh!
