This Peach Bread is Absolutely Delicious! Full of Summer Flavor and Juicy Peaches!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped (about 2 medium peaches)
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla and sour cream. Mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined—do not overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped peaches (and nuts if using).
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
