Ingredients
- 1 loaf thick-sliced Italian or French bread
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Prepare garlic butter: In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread on bread: Lay the bread slices on the baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over each slice.
- Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter has melted.
- Serve: Serve warm as a side dish or with pasta, soup, or salad.
