Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes (or sweet potatoes)
- 2–3 tbsp vinegar (white, apple cider, or malt – for flavor & crisping)
- Salt to taste
- Optional: black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, or your favorite seasonings
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) or prepare your air fryer.
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them very thinly using a sharp knife or mandolin.
- Soak the slices in cold water with 2–3 tablespoons of vinegar for 10–15 minutes to help remove starch and give extra crispness.
- Drain and pat the slices completely dry with a clean towel.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer on a lined baking tray or air fryer basket.
- Sprinkle salt and any desired spices over the slices.
- Bake or air fry for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Let them cool slightly – they’ll crisp up even more as they cool.
Would you like me to give a baked version only, an air fryer version, or show both options in the instructions?
