Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Cook Pasta:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Meat Sauce:
    • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
    • Add diced onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
    • Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix Creamy Layer:
