Ingredients
- ½ cup whole black peppercorns (fresh, uncrushed)
- 1 cup cold-pressed olive oil (or sesame oil)
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional, for extra soothing aroma)
- 1 small glass jar or bottle with tight lid
Instructions
- Lightly bruise the peppercorns with the back of a spoon to release their oils.
- Place peppercorns (and rosemary if using) in a clean, dry glass jar.
- Pour the oil over the peppercorns until completely covered.
- Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for 7–10 days, shaking gently once a day.
- After the infusion period, strain the oil through a fine mesh or cheesecloth into a clean bottle.
- Label the bottle and store in a cool, dark place.
Use: A few drops can be massaged into joints or temples for its warming, soothing aroma, or added sparingly to food as a seasoning oil.
