Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs, said that the laptop program will be brought back this year as part of the Prime Minister Youth Program. The SAPM said at a recent press meeting that the plan is to give 100,000 computers to young people.
She said it was a shame that the previous government ended the program and talked about how important computers were for allowing young people to continue their schooling and work from home during the COVID-19 outbreak. The computers that the previous government, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, gave out were very helpful in keeping things going even when things were hard.

The government has also started the National Innovation Award as a way to encourage young people to start their own businesses. This award is meant to celebrate and support new ideas and projects.
In the SAPM, the government’s pledge to get young people to do good things was stressed. During the past year, about 54,000 kids took part in different sports events. In twenty-five regions, hockey trials were held, and in twenty-eight areas, volleyball trials were held.

The SAPM also said that registration for football trials has started all over Pakistan, giving young people from all over the country a chance to show off their skills in the sport.
All of these programs show that the government wants to strengthen and involve young people by giving them access to education, encouraging creativity, and supporting a healthy, active lifestyle.
