Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and the entire can of crushed pineapple with its juice. Stir until well mixed.
- Fold in chopped nuts.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan before serving. Optional: top with cream cheese frosting or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
