Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs (cut into chunks)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Prep Chicken:
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. - Sear Chicken:
Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and sear until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-6 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and set aside. - Make Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. - Deglaze & Simmer:
Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. - Add Cheese:
Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and thickened slightly (2–3 minutes). - Combine:
Return cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat the chicken in the buttery sauce. Let it simmer together for another 2 minutes. - Finish:
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you want a little heat.
Serve with:
Warm dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, or over buttery rice for a true Texas-style comfort meal!
