Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide (3% solution)
- 1/2 teaspoon toothpaste (preferably whitening toothpaste)
- A few drops of water (optional, to adjust consistency)
- A soft-bristled toothbrush
Instructions
- Prepare the Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and toothpaste. Mix until you get a smooth paste. If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of water to reach the desired consistency. - Apply to Your Teeth:
Dip your soft-bristled toothbrush into the paste. Gently brush your teeth in small, circular motions, ensuring all surfaces of your teeth are covered. - Brush Carefully:
Focus on the areas with noticeable yellowing or tartar buildup. Avoid scrubbing too hard, as it can damage your enamel and gums. - Rinse Thoroughly:
After brushing for about 2 minutes, rinse your mouth with water thoroughly to remove all residue. - Use Sparingly:
Limit using this whitening remedy to once a week to prevent overuse, which can damage your enamel. For regular oral care, stick to a fluoride toothpaste and brushing twice a day.
