Ingredients
For the Tangerine Puff Pastry:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2–3 fresh tangerines (peeled and segmented)
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional for serving)
For the Mandarin Beverage:
- 1 cup mandarin orange juice (fresh or store-bought)
- ½ cup sparkling water or soda water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
- Tangerine or mandarin slices (for garnish)
Instructions
Make the Tangerine Puff Pastry:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into squares or circles. Place on a lined baking sheet.
- In a bowl, toss tangerine segments with honey, orange zest, and vanilla.
- Place a few segments on each pastry piece.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg for golden color.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
Make the Refreshing Mandarin Beverage:
- In a pitcher, combine mandarin juice, lemon juice, and honey (if using). Stir well.
- Add sparkling water and gently mix.
- Pour over a glass filled with ice cubes.
- Garnish with mint leaves and mandarin slices.
- Serve immediately for a fizzy and refreshing drink.
