Tanduri Chicken Wings Recipe

These juicy and flavorful tandoori chicken wings are marinated in a rich blend of yogurt, spices, and lemon juice, then baked or grilled to perfection. A perfect appetizer or snack, they bring bold Indian flavors to your table.


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro leaves and lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin, coriander, paprika, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and oil. Mix until smooth.
  2. Marinate the Wings:
    Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors seep in.
  3. Preheat and Cook:
    • For Baking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the marinated wings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are cooked through and slightly charred.
    • For Grilling: Heat your grill to medium-high. Place the wings on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and slightly crispy.
