Ingredients
- 8 oz (about 225g) spaghetti
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup salsa (mild or spicy, your choice)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Chopped cilantro or green onions (for garnish)
- Jalapeños or crushed tortilla chips (optional topping)
Instructions
- Cook the Spaghetti:
Boil spaghetti in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. - Brown the Meat:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat. - Add Flavor:
Stir in taco seasoning and 1 cup water. Cook for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened. - Mix in Salsa and Cheese:
Add salsa, cream cheese, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and well combined. - Combine with Spaghetti:
Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and mix everything together. If needed, add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce. - Top and Melt:
Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top. Cover the skillet for 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts. - Serve:
Top with sour cream, jalapeños, chopped cilantro, green onions, or crushed tortilla chips if desired.
Enjoy your cheesy, beefy, taco-style spaghetti! 🌮🍝
