Ingredients

- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Meatballs:
- In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk; let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef, ground pork, egg, onion, nutmeg, allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
- Cook the Meatballs:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil.
- Fry the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil.
- Make the Gravy:
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Gradually whisk in the beef broth, ensuring no lumps.
- Add the cream and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Combine:
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the gravy for 10 minutes, or until fully cooked.
- Serve:
- Pair with mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or lingonberry jam for an authentic Swedish touch.
