Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square or round cake pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool & Serve: Let the cake cool slightly in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Slice and enjoy warm for breakfast!
