Ingredients:
- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Pasta Shells: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, spinach, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff the Shells: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Stuff each shell with a generous amount of the ricotta filling, then place them in the baking dish.
- Add the Sauce: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, making sure they are mostly covered.
- Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious stuffed pasta shells!
