Ingredients
- 1 large lemon (freshly squeezed)
- 1 inch fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
- 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional, for taste)
- 1 glass (250 ml) warm water
- Pinch of black pepper (to activate turmeric)
Instructions
- Warm the water until it’s comfortably hot but not boiling.
- In a mug, add the grated ginger and turmeric.
- Pour the warm water over them and stir well.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and honey (if using).
- Add a pinch of black pepper to boost the absorption of turmeric.
- Stir again, let it steep for 2–3 minutes, then strain (if desired).
- Drink this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and once again before bedtime for best results.
