This easy dump cake is a delightful dessert that combines the flavors of strawberry cheesecake with the simplicity of a dump cake. It’s perfect for potlucks, gatherings, or a quick treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (21 ounce) can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened and cut into small cubes
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) cold butter, cut into small cubes
  • Optional: Graham cracker crumbs or crushed vanilla wafers for topping

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the Pie Filling: Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Add Cream Cheese: Distribute the softened cream cheese cubes evenly over the strawberry pie filling.
  4. Sprinkle Cake Mix: Pour the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer, covering the entire surface. Do not mix.
  5. Add Butter: Distribute the cold butter cubes evenly over the dry cake mix. Try to cover as much of the dry mix as possible.
  6. Optional Topping: If desired, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs or crushed vanilla wafers over the butter layer.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. The center should be mostly set.
  8. Cool: Allow the cake to cool for at least 15-20 minutes before serving. This allows the filling to set slightly.
  9. Serve: Serve warm or at room temperature. You can top with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
