- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1½ cups cold water
- 1 (3.4 oz) package instant cheesecake or vanilla pudding mix
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (or 1 container of whipped topping)
- 1 box vanilla wafer cookies (such as Nilla Wafers)
- 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- Strawberry sauce or jam (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pudding Base:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and cold water until well combined.
- Add the pudding mix and whisk for about 2 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Cover and chill in the fridge for 5–10 minutes.
- Whip the Cream Cheese:
- In a separate large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually add the chilled pudding mixture into the cream cheese and mix until smooth.
- Fold in Whipped Cream:
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form (or use prepared whipped topping).
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until fully incorporated.
- Assemble the Layers:
- In a trifle dish or large serving bowl, start by layering vanilla wafers at the bottom.
- Add a layer of sliced bananas and strawberries.
- Spread a layer of the cheesecake pudding mixture over the fruit.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with pudding on top.
- Optional Toppings:
- Garnish the top with more sliced strawberries, crushed vanilla wafers, or a drizzle of strawberry sauce.
- Chill and Serve:
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor and texture.
