Ingredients
- 1 (5.1 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 box vanilla wafers (Nilla Wafers)
- 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
Optional garnish:
- Extra whipped topping
- Crushed vanilla wafers or whole wafers
- Extra strawberry and banana slices
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until it thickens.
- Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until fully combined and smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until incorporated. Chill the mixture for 10–15 minutes to set.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, start layering:
- A layer of vanilla wafers
- A layer of banana slices
- A layer of strawberries
- A layer of pudding mixture
- Repeat the layers until the bowl is filled, ending with the pudding mixture on top.
- For best flavor, refrigerate at least 4 hours (or overnight) before serving. This allows the wafers to soften and the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, garnish with additional whipped topping, crushed wafers, and fresh fruit slices if desired.
