INGREDIENTS
- 2 racks pork ribs (about 3-4 lbs)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Green onions & sesame seeds for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Ribs:
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Wrap ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Add honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Glaze the Ribs:
- Once ribs are tender, remove from oven and unwrap.
- Brush sauce generously over the ribs.
- Broil or Grill:
- Place ribs under broiler for 5-7 minutes or grill over medium-high heat until caramelized and sticky. Keep an eye to prevent burning.
- Brush with extra sauce as needed.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Slice into individual ribs.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve hot with extra sauce on the side.
