INGREDIENTS
- 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp oil
For the Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce:
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional but recommended)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (for thickening)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prep the Ribs:
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. - Bake the Ribs:
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Wrap ribs tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add cornstarch slurry and stir until thickened (about 1–2 minutes). Remove from heat.
- Grill or Broil:
- Once ribs are tender, remove from foil and place on a grill or under a broiler.
- Brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
- Cook for 5–8 minutes, flipping and brushing again until caramelized and sticky.
- Serve:
Let ribs rest for a few minutes. Slice and serve with extra sauce on the side.
